July 15, 2016 - The Melbourne Age
In 2016, I met legendary journalist Martin Flanagan at my bookstand. We had a wonderful conversation about one of my favorite poets - Walt Whitman. He asked me where he should visit to find out more about Whitman and I told him he had to go to the Brooklyn Ferry pier right next to the old Brooklyn Eagle building where Mr. Whitman worked as an editor shortly before his release of the 1855 version of Leaves of Grass. Mr. Flanagan even mentioned me in three of the paragraphs of his article.
